Many times, after tree removal or surgery, larger pieces of high quality wood can be left over, either in the form of cut wood or as the stump of a tree. With tree stumps, some people opt for complete stump removal via our stump grinding service while others choose to mark the spot of a tree with a chainsaw carving.
These carvings are becoming increasingly popular, as visits to parks and stately grounds will confirm. A good chainsaw carving allows an opportunity for you to leave a lasting legacy of a tree, or to make the most of a piece of quality wood. Based in Madeley, near Crewe, we undertake work within a hundred mile radius of our base. Operations include pruning (deadwood removal, crown reductions, crown thinning, crown raising and cleaning), felling, dismantling, site clearance and stump removal. We also install non-invasive cable brace systems to support weak or damaged trees.
We aim to meet the needs of our customers while also preserving the quality of trees for future generations. All of our work conforms to the BS3998 standard for tree work. We understand that tree work is potentially hazardous and we are committed to Health and Safety in all our activities. We carry out site specific risk assessments prior to commencement of any work.
All STS Contractors UK Ltd staff are regularly updated with training in all the latest techniques for tree work & related operations to ensure compliance with industry guidelines. We hold public liability and employers liability insurance of £5 million.
